From novices to experts, all are welcome to compete in the Parallel 45 5k Skate. Participants can wear the bib we give them, or don their most cherished race bib, whether that be the 1973 Birkebeiner, the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, or the 2020 City of Lakes Loppet.

Form a team of six to compete on the Loppet’s legendary Crew Skis for the honor of taking on the Crew Ski Dream Team.

A benefit for the Loppet Foundation’s youth programming, teams raise funds in support of the Loppet mission.

Shuttle service from The West End and Target Field Light Rail Station to Parallel 45 at Theodore Wirth Park.

Throughout the day of the FIS World Cup itself, guests experience exquisite food and drink plus the best viewing of the race, including the final key turn (downhill and left!) on the World Cup course.

World Cup athletes compete on American snow for the first time since 2001. Each athlete gets one shot to earn their way into the top-30 and onto the heats.

Top competitors receive awards and cash prizes. FIS awards the Crystal Globe to the World Cup season’s top sprint racer.
