Parallel 45 LoppetX presented by Go Radio
The Theodore Wirth Park terrain park and sprint courses will be completely regroomed to host LoppetX in the spirit of Red Bull’s NordiX Series.
The LoppetX course features significant vertical drops, features, and hills. For racers it is a thing to experience and for spectators a thing to behold. There are two race categories for competitors to choose from: intermediate and open. In the intermediate category racers will experience the fun of cross racing at a moderate intensity. Open category racers will push their limits, and spectators will enjoy the show.
LoppetX racers in the open category are chasing their portion of the $5,000 LoppetX purse, with $500 apiece going to the top male and female finishers in both the XC Ski and Fat Tire events.
The total field is limited to 96 LoppetX riders and 96 LoppetX skiers. Race format is similar to standard individual sprint races, with qualifier heats of four to six competitors followed by finals heats with a similar field.
Racers and spectators alike are encouraged to enjoy Parallel 45 Stage which will take place concurrently with LoppetX.
Parallel 45 Cup
10k Classic Mass Start & 10k Skate Mass Start
A season capstone event for many college and club racers, the Parallel 45 Cup consists of two races, a 10k Classic Mass Start and a 10k Skate Mass Start. The races take place at Theodore Wirth Park, either on natural snow or our snowmaking loops depending on conditions.
Parallel 45 Cup racers representing college teams will compete not only for individual position, but also for team placement in three categories: top four males; top four female, and top four mixed (two male, two female)
Non-collegiate racers may register as unaffiliated to compete for individual glory.
Athletes are invited to also compete in LoppetX Fat Tire and LoppetX Ski, as well as to enjoy Parallel 45 Stage which will take place throughout the day.
Parallel 45 Stage
